Well another Halloween has passed and it was another year of no trick or treaters. I don’t know why I even buy candy anymore:(. Actually Halloween was completely uneventful this year, but luckily I did have some visitors before and after to make it fun! My cousin was Wonder Woman

And my niece a witch

Actually I don’t think she was for Halloween but she dressed up as one for a picture!

Afterwards I got to see my cousin again and ask her about the candy she got and here is her response You believe what you will, but I say she is under the influence of some sort of sugar

Family, Disneyland and a whole lot of smoke

Despite the fires, this past week turned out really nice, thanks to a visit from my sister and two nieces. As always with Family visiting we went to Disneyland which was extra special this time because they had decorated the park for Halloween! The Haunted Mansion was definitely the highlight, with the entire ride and building redone to the theme of "Nightmare Before Christmas" which is one of my favorite movies! The other thing that was good and bad is that Southern California was surrounded by fires. Mostly this is just bad and very sad for many families, but on Tuesday the day we went to Disneyland the sky’s were fairly clear because of the winds and because of the fires no one was there which was the good part. I was actually thinking we weren’t going to go at all because the quality of air was so bad the other days of the week, but somehow the day we had planned to go was the one day the sky was clear, or at least more clear. Oh, and also there is a new Finding Nemo ride at Disneyland that I really loved! It is more of a kids ride, but I still thought it was awesome.

The rest of the week we mostly spent indoors playing cards. My nieces must have both beat me a Speed 20 times and I learned I have absolutely no skills at "Spite and Malice":). They were probably bored out of their minds but I found it really nice and relaxing. Now they are home, but hopefully they will be back soon. Really was a nice time and so good to see them.

Last few weeks have been so wonderful!

A wonderful vacation, family and so many friends… who could ask for more. Well actually I wish I would have had more time but I won’t complain because I really had an amazing vacation this year.

It all came about because my dad was having his 60th birthday! For his birthday we took the boat to one of the semi local lakes and he had his ""last"" wake boarding experience.

I added the quotes because although he says it was his last, I don’t believe it. It was a great time and especially nice because so much of the family was there. The only one who couldn’t make it was my little sister, but she just got a new job, which is awesome so there was no way she could.

The next 7 days or so I got to spend a lot of time with the family.. Pretty much the normal family soccer games, dinners and golf and stuff which to them was probably boring but to me it was really great cause well I don’t get to do those things with them very often. I also strained a couple of muscles playing the Nintendo Wii which is pretty embarrassing, I am sooo out of shape

I am so lucky to have such a great family and friends back home. My best friends throughout high school were always a family I spent a good majority of time with and although I didn’t get to see all of them, I did get to see four of them and their kids which was really something! Just seeing the kids alone would have made the trip! They are exactly as I would imagine their kids being which basically means they are awesome! I wish so much I would have had more time to spend with everyone but hopefully the next trip will not be so long from now.

As if that wasn’t a good enough time when I did get back home my brother came with me and will be here for a month or so helping grandma and two of my best friends from a couple years back were visiting. It already made August for me getting to see them! Anyhow, now I need to get things done I guess:) Vacation is over…. but it was sooo great!:)

So sad…

Sometimes you don’t remember how much you miss someone until you see them… My niece and sister have been visiting for the past 11 days and tonight they had to go home. I will miss them so much but it was a really wonderful time! I shouldn’t be so sad, cause I will see them again in a couple of weeks, but I am:(

My first Cycling race

Yesterday I attended my first street cycling event to watch my cousin compete and now have a new found respect for these cyclers.. I had no idea how dangerous this sport is, but these guys go so fast and race so close together. There are some corners where the whole pack of around 50 people take a one way corner at the same time and unfortunately on one of these tight corners a guy caught his petal and got thrown over his bike and then run over by another rider. Or, at least that is what I heard, I wasn’t on that corner just knew something had gone wrong when the racers didn’t show up right away. Afterwards everyone I talked to said he was ok, but they had to bring the paramedics on the scene to make sure. Anyhow, after that the race started again and ended up going an extra 15 minutes to make up for the lost time but still raced all out for 90 minutes! There is no way I would have made it around 3 laps going all out, but these guys basically went full speed for around 50 laps! Now I can’t wait to see another one:)

I also got to meet the newest members to our family this weekend which was definately the highlight! Aren’t they wonderful!

Isn’t she cute?

Greatest cat that ever lived:) She mostly sleeps a lot but when she isn’t she is cracking me up with her funny expressions and aerobics, plus she is the softest cat in the whole world! Everyone should have a Sabrina in their lives!!

Imagination is Wonderful

My cousins took me to see "Bridge to Terabithia" tonight and it really made me realize what a wonderful thing it is to be able to imagine. I have always had a crazy imagination. When I was little it was always epic conflicts where I was the land’s last hope but these days it is more about things I dream I can one day accomplish. That doesn’t mean all my imaginary dreams are made up of programming possibilities and making other peoples dreams come true but my neverland no longer has conflict… I guess that definately means I am getting old. Oh, and if you haven’t seen the movie do so immediately! Although be warned it will probably raise a lot of questions in you and any kids you have with you. Definately takes on some very complicated subject matter. As highly recomended as any movie I have seen in years though. In fact, it is so good I am rearanging my top ten list to make room for it! Go watch it!
